How to Build a Website

Today you have more choices than ever to build a Website. You can use a local or online Web designer to build your site. This is probably the most expensive way to do it, because every time you need a change you will have to wait for and pay the Web designer.

You can do it yourself with one of the wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) html editors such as Dreamweaver or Front page. These are very good programs and you can create just about anything you want with them and a few good graphics programs. These programs cost a few bucks but in the end if you become a serious Web marketer you will have to spend the money for them.

Of course you will have to learn the programs, and there is a steep learning curve but you can start out slow with FREE web editors such as Mozilla and Coffee Cup. There is also a great program that teaches you how to use them called Mini Site Creator. Its a great program. It comes on 4 cd's and is in audio and video format

You have 2 choices to Build and Increase your Website traffic. You can pay for it or earn it for FREE. That's it!

You can buy it with pay per click (ppc) search engines (SE's) such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. These are the top 3 SE's There are many more search engines you can advertise on but really if you use these 3 that's all you need until you become an advanced Internet marketer. You will need to do good keyword research to get the best results for your pay per click advertising campaign. There are many tools you can use that are free such as the Overture Keyword Tool, and Nichebot.

But the best things in life are not always free. The WordTracker search tool is a subscription based tool that you can purchase for a Day, Week, Month or Year. I have used it but find it a bit cumbersome and slow. I prefer Ad Word Accelerator . It is fast and is so automated that you can research many profitable keywords that Word Tracker cannot come up with and is faster.

To get free traffic to your Website you will have to get high organic search engine rankings. That's the ones on the left side of the page when you do a search for a keyword or a phrase. The listings on the right hand side of the page are the ones you pay for. Each search engine has its own criteria as how you can get a top organic ranking. These criteria are secret and are always evolving and changing. To master this you will have to master search Engine marketing which is a science and art unto itself.

Under the section "Search Engine Tools" you will find many different programs and tools that you may find useful depending on your particular situation.

After you have researched your niche you will need to create content that the search engines love. This will require some writing effort on your part, but not to worry there are some good programs and tools out there to help you create content.

To create site content for your sales pages try Push Button Sales Letters and Instant Sales Letters. I am partial to Push Button Sales Letters but the both are good.

Next you need inbound links from other sites to help your search engine rankings. One of the best way to do this is to write articles and submit them to the various ezine directories for publishing in ezines and as possible content for some sites, you may even find content for your website in these directories. Each article will include a resource box that contains information about you and your site along with a link to one of your sites pages. This link is very important because the search engines place a high value on incoming links to a site.

There many more ways to get traffic but these are the acknowledged best ways. If you use some other methods do your homework first. Check out the referrals and get as much information about the program or system as you can. I have bought and used things that were just plain rip offs. Never, ever buy one of the email lists, like 10,000 email addresses for $29. All you will do is get spam complaints and you may even get shut down by your Internet service provider (ISP)

How to Use Affiliate Internet Marketing

Affiliate marketing is the promotion of another Websites products on your website for a commission. There are Websites that list thousands of products on their site and, also take care of the credit card processing for you. Click Bank is one of the prominent affiliate product aggregators. Another is Commission Junction. You can find really good products to promote with your website and make a profit. A good test if you have an idea for your own product is to promote an affiliate product first and see how it works first.

People willingly list their products on these sites because they know that to have a large sales force of affiliates selling their products will increase their overall sales exponentially.

So let me lay it out for you. I write a book to be delivered electronically. I build a website to market it. I use a ppc keyword campaign to drive traffic to my sales page. I get traffic and sell some books.

If I list my book on Click Bank 100's or even thousands may promote my book. I could make 100's of sale per day this way. However people are not willing to do this for free so I pay them 50% of my profit after paying click bank a fee for credit card processing.

So you can see if you build a network of people selling your product you can make a lots of money.

If you would like to sell your product or promote other peoples products as an affiliate You have to get the Super Affiliate Handbook and Affiliate Blue Print. This is the absolute best starting place if you want to go into affiliate marketing. And I advise that you start out with affiliate marketing as is very inexpensive to start.

Find the sources for Internet Advertising

We have already discussed some of the sources of Internet advertising.

Pay per click advertising with the major search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Create and submit articles to ezine directories.

Use a network of affiliates to sell your products.

Some other ways to advertise your site. Create a Blog and post your articles on it and submit it to RSS (real simple syndication) feeds. This will also create more inbound links plus more potential exposures to people.

Link exchanges are another method to get more exposure of your web site. Try Zeus if you would like more inbound links.

The future of the Internet includes video and infomercials. Video portals are already springing up. In fact they have already inspired a show that airs on cable television called Web Junk 20. Maybe you have already seen it. Look for it in your area on cable or on the Web.

Choose a NICHE that is not related to Internet marketing products. This Niche is overcrowded and you can achieve better results with a niche you know something about.
